🌍Namespacing
Learn your locale RA token's name and how smart contracts are organized.
🔎 Quick Definitions
Nation - All recognized nations by the UN
State - Top-level administrative districts of a country, aka province/department/republic/region

Token Symbols + Contract Namespacing
Quick Examples
Examples
The United States nation token symbol is USA
It exists on the
ra
contractit is pronounced "usara" [ISO 3166-1 alpha-3][ra] (token name plus contract), but exists in wallets as USA
The Texas state token symbol would be TX
It exists on the usa.ra contract
col.ra
andusa.ra
may both have a token called TXRAIt is pronounced txra, probably more like "tex-ra"
☀️ RA - Global + National Tokens
The RA global names will hold the contract of ra and the ISO3 Nation abbreviations will be used for the names of the token so it will be:
Token
3-letter ISO used for Token Symbol (USA, COL, ARG)
0-precision
max supply is 2^64-1
Issuance limited per accounts in-contract
Contract Account: ra
One contract governed by Tetra council multisig
Speaking Token Names
When speaking the name of a token, 'ra' is appended, so the symbol COL is pronounced 'colra'. The token ANT for Antioquia, a department in Colombia, would be called "antra".
To distinguish ANTRA from Colombia with ANTRA from Antigua and Barbuda, you would say "Colombian antra" same as a Mexican peso vs a Colombian peso,
🌳 Project Accounts
Concept: Projects are stored in tables on the contract account of the area. In the required record, the account receiving funding is known. Optionally, projects can have Tetra implement a contract account managed by a multi-sig of the leaders of the project. This way, if the project's leadership changes due to stakeholder's vote, control of the contract is automatically updated to the new leaders.
[project_id]..ra
Optional system-implemented contract accounts
Allow projects to become fully decentralized
Privileged accounts may change according to stakeholder votes
Can be custodial, semi-custodial, or non-custodial
Project owner has control over how decentralized the project will be
👨 Citizen Accounts
Concept: Like projects, citizens' lists are represented on the contract of the local area. Citizens can optionally open a contract account that gives them additional tools.
📝 Namespace
[citizen_id]...ra
You can keep your WAX account when joining tetra, and open a pseudonym ...ra account with your citizen ID anytime you want.
Allows citizens to easily deploy smart contracts to their account
Can be custodial, semi-custodial, or non-custodial
Custodial allows Tetra to recover or close the account, Semi-custodial allows the user to declare friends who can recover the account.
Without a ...ra account, a citizen risks losing their account, and must go through Tetra or their local council to get their account formally removed before registering another account.
🤔 Reasoning
To provide a systematic way to organize and identify the different components and tokens in the Tetra ecosystem. It allows token symbols to be simple, and even if there's two tokens with the same name (due to two nations having the same state name, or two states sharing a county name) the contract account they belong to will be different.
It also looks nice, and the names are fun to say.
Now, the fun part you've probably done in your head
What would your local county's token contract be?
How would you pronounce your local state token?
What would your nation's token be?
